Mary was introduced to the health benefits of massage personally when she suffered an auto accident leaving her with cervical and shoulder damage. In seeking a multi-pronged approach to her own care, she found that massage therapy provided her with tremendous relief by increasing her limited range of motion and decreasing her pain. This experience prompted Mary to pursue her own studies in massage therapy in order to help herself and to share the benefits with others.

In preparation for an avocation to follow her 32 year civil service career, Vera became a nationally certified massage therapist and Reiki master in March of 2004. Graduating from the National Massage Therapy Institute in Falls Church, Virginia, Vera honed her massage therapy skills working with clients throughout the Northern Virginia area.
