Before starting SHAPE, I was fairly healthy. I had stayed fit and maintained a reasonable weight and slept alright... but things were never quite right internally. I struggled with chronic migraine, my blood pressure was unstable, hormones were imbalanced, and I had a terrible dependence on sugar that triggered mood swings and unstable energy levels. 

SHAPE ReClaimed has taught me how to nourish my body so that it functions most efficiently. By eliminating all foods that cause inflammation, SHAPE has improved nearly everything about my health. My energy levels are stable throughout the day, moods are consistent, sleep is deep and uninterrupted, sugar cravings are gone, stomach is no longer bloated, weight is healthy, blood work is optimal, headaches have vanished. At 51, I feel better than I did at 21!

The best thing about SHAPE is how easy it is to follow. You don't count calories or obess over food combinations. This program simply teaches you how to eat and what foods trigger the inflammation that causes a whole host of health problems.

After losing 30lbs through a regular walking program, my weight loss stalled. I searched for a diet program to help me reach my ideal weight because the walking program took up so much time. Shape Reclaimed appealed to me because it didn't require exercise, but it was a program based on regular foods that would result in an eating lifestyle change. However, it seemed really severe since I have had trouble staying on food restrictive diets in the past.

Knowing my will power was weak, I asked my husband to go on Shape Reclaimed with me. Even though he was skeptical and liked less than half of the foods allowed on it, he agreed to join me on the program. We disposed of food that was not allowed on Shape Reclaimed and began the program under Dr. Sims' care. We discovered:

  • menus that satisfied us within the constraints of the anti-inflammatory diet
  • the importance of drinking enough water
  • the value of weighing and eating on a regular schedule
  • the importance of getting enough sleep
  • that men and women do lose weight at different rates!

In the first week, he lost 9.4lbs; I lost only 5.7. By the end of the first month, he lost 20.4 lbs; I lost only 10.7. After 3 months on Shape Reclaimed:

  • He lost 38.4 lbs and a total of 29 1/4 inches over 11 measurements. His cholesterol and blood sugar levels dropped to ideal numbers
  • I lost 21.7 lbs and a total of 26 3/8 inches over 12 measurements

To date, he has lost a total of 52.4 lbs; I've lost a total of 25.7 lbs. Although life events have interrupted our strict adherence to Shape Reclaimed, we agree it is the best weight loss program! You eat plenty, feel better with increased energy, and lose weight consistently within the program guidelines. We remain committed to reaching our weight goal, transitioning through the remaining phases of Shape Reclaimed, and maintaining a healthy wellness program.
