A teenage girl in today's society can easily feel overwhelmed with the every day pressures...homework overload, stress to excel in classes, college prep, extracurricular activities by the dozen, body image issues out of whack, oh and don't forget friendship challenges and dating dilemmas, just to name a few!
Teen life coaching offers teen girls a safe, non-judgmental environment to help them deal with the obstacles and frustrations of being a teenager. Teen life coaching helps them become more self-reliant and confident as they navigate through their challenges by focusing on the present and then taking action. How do we do that? Each weekly 55-minute session is client-generated and coach-supported, which means that the teen is fully engaged in the process while the coach offers guidance and support.
In each confidential session, teens are encouraged to express their challenges so that specific tools and strategies can be offered to map out a specific course of action. A teen life coach offers active listening, guidance, and support while promoting responsibility and accountability. Weekly “lifework” (like homework, but more fun!) is assigned to help set specific goals, take action, and accept personal responsibility in order to gain the desired results.

Both coaching and therapy are valuable and effective professional services with each having it's rightful place. The main differences between the two:
Therapy is mainly focused on dealing with the past while playing an important role in helping clients deal with deep-rooted mental health issues that are effecting the quality of their daily life.
Life coaching, on the other hand, focuses on dealing with the present and future. It is a collaboration between coach and client to develop a vision for the client's life and help provide support while working toward achieving that goal. Life coaching helps the client develop the strength to overcome obstacles by learning and implementing new skills and strategies. And as an added bonus ... Coaching can be fun!
